Staff Bio:

Sandra Darwash-Warburton - Facilitator

Sandra started volunteering, then working, for the San Diego Unified School District when her daughter started Kindergarten. Later, she was the founder and coach of an all-girls student robotics team in San Diego, and eventually coached a team for the Boys and Girls Club. As a result of her work to empower young women and underserved youth through STEAM activities, she was proud to represent San Diego at the United States of Women event hosted by the White House in 2016.

Interests: Sandra is passionate about wildlife and volunteer work. She also enjoys making vegan desserts. Fun fact about Sandra: “I have geographical dyslexia which means I’m quite often lost!”
Current Obsession: Feral cat and kitten rescue.
