Jennie Goldstone - Lead Educator

Jennie Goldstone brings a breadth of education experience from outside the traditional classroom context, including curriculum development, teacher training, arts education, and college access programming. She is passionate about what’s possible when schools and communities partner to create transformative learning experiences for students. Jennie earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Boston University and is working towards an Education Doctorate (Ed.D.) in the Joint Program for Education Leadership at UCSD and CSUSM, where her research focuses on museum education.

The lead educator collaborates with museum educators to ensure that curricula maximize opportunities for authentic and experiential learning while addressing academic standards and supporting the needs of diverse learners. During the week, the lead educator visits classrooms to observe instruction, capturing best practices and areas for growth that inform monthly professional development sessions, with the goal of continuous improvement. Museum educators, facilitators, and classroom teachers communicate directly with the lead educator to discuss issues regarding activities, assessment, instructional practices, and the effectiveness of the instructional program in general.
